I. Learning Goal
After learning the lesson, students are expected able to:
 1st meeting:
1. Identify and explain the use of simple present tense in positive, negative and interrogative sentence.
2. Complete sentences using simple present tense in positive, negative and interrogative sentence.
3. Compose sentences using simple present tense.

 2nd meeting:
A. Ask about Job Description, both in formal and informal situation.
B. Tell about one’s job description

 3rd meeting:
A. Identify and explain the use of simple past tense in positive, negative and interrogative sentence.
B. Complete sentences using simple past tense in positive, negative and interrogative sentence.
C. Compose sentences using simple past tense.

 4th meeting:
A. Ask about Educational Background formal and informal.
B. Tell about one’s Educational Background

 5th meeting: Do questions in the test about simple present tense in job description and simple past tense in Educational Background.

 6th – meeting:
A. Answer question about job vacancies.
B. Retell a job vacancy to friends.



 7th meeting:
A. Answer question about one’s curriculum vitae.
B. Make a CV
 8th - 9th meeting:
A. Identify and tell Application letter.
B. Compose an application letter based on job vacancy from newspaper.
 10th meeting:
A.Identify and express the facts and figures from a given data.

II. Learning Material
• 1st meeting: simple present

I. Simple present
A. The Use of simple present tense:
1. To tell about Habitual Actions or everyday activity. It is usually uses the Adverb of frequency, such as : Always, usually, seldom, etc.
a.In the nominal sentence, it usually put after to be :
Ex : She is usually busy.
b. In the verbal sentence, it usually put before ordinary:
Ex : She always studies hard.

3. To tell about headline news in the newspaper or magazine.
-Mr Mustofa visit the headmaster of Smk Muhammadiyah Kudus.
- SBY visits Papua.
4. To tell about the ability or the characteristic of someone.
-He speaks fluently.
-Mr Aam is friendly.
5. For the future condition ( to tell about program or planning that will do in the future )
- The plane leaves for Jakarta tomorrow morning.
- The bus arrives at 10 am tomorrow.
6. As the substitute of presents continuous for the verbs that can not be used for presents continuous.
Ex : - I want to eat now
I am Wanting to eat now.
-She understands the lesson now.
She is understanding the lesson now.

1. Verbs that is ended by ss, sh, ch, x, and o. Add with es. Another verbs above,add with s.

2.Verb that is ended by Y and before it is consonant,Y is changed by I and add with es.

Simple past is used to talk about activities or situations that began and ended in the past.
The form of simple past:
